Elesi Luce Is a Supporter of Light Design Village 2026/2027

A New Place Dedicated to the Culture of Light

Elesi Luce is pleased to announce its participation as a Supporter of Light Design Village for 2026/2027.

Promoted by the Luce in Veneto Business Network, Light Design Village was established at Villa Cà Marcello in Piombino Dese (province of Padua – Italy) as a permanent hub dedicated to the culture of light. It is a place for meeting and exchange, where companies, designers, lighting designers, institutions, universities, students and professionals can share knowledge, develop new skills and create collaborations.

Supporting the Dialogue Between Light and Design

For Elesi Luce, being a Supporter of Light Design Village means contributing to the promotion of a design culture that considers light not merely as a technical component, but as a true language capable of defining spaces, creating atmospheres and improving the quality of living environments.

It means supporting dialogue between industry, design, research and education, encouraging the exchange of different experiences and perspectives. An open discussion that can generate new ideas, new professional relationships and new opportunities for the entire lighting industry.

An Open and Multidisciplinary Community

Light Design Village was conceived as an open network capable of connecting the world of manufacturing with design, art, technology and culture.

Its spaces will host training activities, workshops, meetings and opportunities for experimentation, with a training area, a materials library, a photometric laboratory, a gallery, a lounge and dedicated coworking areas. The physical spaces will be complemented by digital services and content designed to broaden participation and keep the dialogue active over time.

“Transparencies”: Where Glass Meets Light

The 2026/2027 programme, entitled “Transparencies”, will be dedicated to glass and its relationship with light. A material deeply connected to the manufacturing and craftsmanship heritage of the Veneto region, yet also open to research, technological innovation and new expressions of contemporary design.

From September 2026 to July 2027, the theme “Glass: Origin, Material and Vision of Light” will guide talks, workshops, training sessions and events. Glass will be explored in its many dimensions: as a material that filters, reflects and transforms light, as an element of tradition and, at the same time, as a medium for design experimentation.

Education, Networking and New Collaborations

One of the most significant aspects of Light Design Village is its aim to create tangible opportunities for growth and networking. The programme will involve designers, companies, researchers, associations, professionals and students, bringing together different skills and experiences.

Through masterclasses, workshops, talks and Light Camps, the culture of light will become a shared experience. Dialogue between companies and new generations may encourage the development of innovative products, design languages and solutions, strengthening the connection between education, creativity and the manufacturing world.

An Opening Dedicated to Design and Culture

The cultural and design value of Light Design Village was evident from its official presentation, held on 16 July 2026 at Villa Cà Marcello. The event brought together more than 150 participants, including companies, architects, lighting designers, professionals, representatives of institutions and trade associations, lecturers and students.

Following the institutional greetings and the presentation of the 2026/2027 programme, architect and designer Michele De Lucchi delivered the Lectio Magistralis “Fare luce” (“Creating Light”), exploring the relationship between lighting, technological innovation, design and changing lifestyles. The day concluded with a networking session and a visit to Enrico Antonello’s artistic installation “LUCE”, an immersive experience in which light, movement and sound invite reflection on the relationship between human beings, technology and society.

Elesi Luce: Building New Visions Together

Elesi Luce’s participation as a Supporter stems from the values shared with the project: openness, collaboration, research and the promotion of the culture of light.

We believe that the future of design is built by creating connections and opportunities for dialogue among those who design, manufacture, study and use light every day. Supporting Light Design Village means contributing to the growth of a community capable of transforming light into knowledge, relationships and design.

For Elesi Luce, this marks the beginning of a new journey to experience and share together.
