Finally, all ideas and projects are submitted to the Scientific Coordination Committee for judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"418\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_categorie-1024x418.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4117\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_categorie-1024x418.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_categorie-300x122.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_categorie-768x313.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_categorie-1536x627.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_categorie.jpg 1811w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Theme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The last edition was inspired by the great events of COP26 and the G20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In perfect agreement with the inspiring principles (People, Planet, Prosperity) of the international summit held in Rome in 2021, ADI defined for the first time the theme: sustainable and responsible development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All set in a territorial context &#8211; Italy &#8211; where creativity and love for beauty are applied to industry; \u201cmaking beautiful what it is useful\u201d is an inestimable added value that identifies the \u201cItalian Brand\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the presentation event of the new edition, the President of ADI, Luciano Galimberti, invites us to look at the selection as an expression of the theme that is represented in these three words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>freedom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>quality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FREEDOM<\/h4>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_Francesco-Zurlo_Commissione-Selezione-Finale-828x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4119\" width=\"436\" height=\"179\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>ADI Design Index decides to treat the term freedom in an unconventional perspective: knowing how to relate, creating a system to be realized together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Francesco Zurlo (member of the final selection commission) wished to recall during the presentation of the ADI Design Index, freedom is participation; the expression is freely taken from a well-known song by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=j3vowbyQBiQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Giorgio Gaber<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\"><em>Freedom is not being on a tree,\n\nnor is it having an opinion.\n\nFreedom is not free space.\n\nFreedom is participation.<\/em><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SYSTEM&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The premise of ADI Design Index is giving a plausible photograph of the Italian reality through the selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Italian design is a systemic discipline for its nature, and it is an integral part of another complex system called life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system is that component of Italian design capable of harmonizing the other two elements on which the selection focuses: freedom and quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">QUALITY<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of the ADI Design Index is to redefine the criteria that make up the quality of products. Quality should no longer be used as a simple indicator of production factors since this designation tends to confuse it with high prices and to associate it with the luxury sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President of ADI explains &#8211; during the evening of November 14th &#8211; how the concept of quality has changed over time and how once the idea of \u200b\u200bdesign was linked to a limited economic value that was capable of expanding the user of reference. In the 90s a first transformation takes place, in which the luxury product begins to be awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_Presidente-Luciano-Galimberti-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4124\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_Presidente-Luciano-Galimberti-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_Presidente-Luciano-Galimberti-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_Presidente-Luciano-Galimberti-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_Presidente-Luciano-Galimberti-1536x863.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_Presidente-Luciano-Galimberti-2048x1151.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Globalization has further turned the table on the identification of a sort of parallel quality made up of content, material and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualities that have nothing to do with the concept of luxury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite dealing with high-priced products, this feature should not be confused with the real requirement that leads to selection: high quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:80px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The news of the 2022 edition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sustainability&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.symbola.net\/approfondimento\/rapporto-design-economy-i-numeri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Symbola Foundation<\/a> is responsible for preparing a report on the state of the art of design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to IPSOS data, three factors have been identified in Italy that contribute to the perception of sustainability: ethics, concern, quality. The latter represents a fundamental element: the general public believes that sustainability represents 50% of the quality of a product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A sustainable project is therefore considered of superior quality.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on this analysis, ADI Design wanted to adapt to general perceptions by carrying out a small revolution within the Index Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the last edition provided for a specific Commission aimed at dealing with sustainability and judging its design impact, in the current edition we have opted for the inclusion, in each Commission, of an expert in the sector who could give a privileged point of view to each college.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sustainability, therefore, not as an exception but as an integral part of the entire Index project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CATEGORY: DESIGN FOR LIGHTING<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Another noteworthy change is the thematic categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the last three years, there has been a strong growth in participation in living sector, while other segments such as mobility and food have recorded slight decreases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, moreover, for the first time, the large category of living was separated to give space to a theme that deserved to be enhanced: lighting, for which a separate category was created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Light, in fact, is a sector capable of renewing itself at a fast pace through the continuous creation of new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"574\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_-Marco-Sabetta_direttore-del-Salone-del-Mobile-1024x574.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_-Marco-Sabetta_direttore-del-Salone-del-Mobile-1024x574.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_-Marco-Sabetta_direttore-del-Salone-del-Mobile-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_-Marco-Sabetta_direttore-del-Salone-del-Mobile-768x430.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_-Marco-Sabetta_direttore-del-Salone-del-Mobile-1536x860.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.elesi-luce.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/11\/ADI-Design-Index_-Marco-Sabetta_direttore-del-Salone-del-Mobile-2048x1147.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Marco Sabetta, director of the Salone del Mobile, knows something about this. On this subject he wanted to recall another great thematic event: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salonemilano.it\/it\/manifestazioni\/euroluce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Euroluce<\/a>, which this year will undergo a renewal through new display systems. The line is the light source, the horizon that defines an above and a below. It is a long process that often discourages people by making them opt for the purchase of a new lamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first step was the uninstallation of the product for the delivery to the store which, in its turn, provides for packaging and shipping to the manufacturer. Then, after assessing the damage and repairing the lamp, the delivery back to the sender.
